2010 RECIPIENTS
$1/Member/Month Donations

In 2010, Planet Granite has donated in the following ways:

CLIMBING

• $10,000 as a company match to the Access Fund for securing and maintaining access at Jailhouse Rock, a climbing area near Sonora CA.  This match occured in February 2011, raising over $23,000 in just 15 days for the Access Fund.


• $5,000 to the American Safe Climbing Association (ASCA) for their bolting fund.

COMMUNITY

• $10,000 to Environmental Traveling Companions (ETC).  The ETC is an organization who is dedicated to opening the outdoor world to people with special needs. Each year, over 2,000 people of all abilities join them rafting, skiing and camping, gaining awareness about both the environment and wilderness.

• $1,500 to Carbon Tree Conservation, a company whose mission is to help stop global warming and to protect biodiversity by saving endangered tropical forests.  They use the funds from selling carbon offsets to protect forests that sequester carbon dioxide, balancing the emissions produced by companies such as ours. The amount we have pledged ensures that Planet Granite is a carbon neutral company for 2010.
