In 2009, Planet Granite raised over $20,000 for the American Safe Climbing Association (ASCA). 

The ASCA is a group of volunteers who, through donations and fundraisers, help maintain the quality of bolts and anchors in local climbing areas such as Yosemite, Pinnacles,Donner Summit and more.

Each year they depend on donations to purchase the gear needed, and then depend even more on their returning volunteers for installation.   Planet Granite committed to matching up to $10,000 of funds raised during Summer 2009 through two Climb-A-Thons.
