Approximately 40 students took part in this event. This was the first time most of them got to experience the sport of rock climbing. Planet Granite provides all the equipment, facility as well as training for the volunteer belayers for the event. The belayers are made up of off duty firefighters. This year E97 from Santa Clara Fire Department also took part in the event.
