Planet Granite Portland’s inaugural climbing competition, The Portland Pulldown, was a huge success! We had a great turnout from our amazing climbing community, food, prizes, and of course some rad routes! Most importantly, we helped raise money for our friend, Dan, and we owe that all to you. Thank you!
Climbers of all skill levels and abilities came out to test themselves, try their best on some competitive routes, have fun with their friends and try their luck at winning some prizes.

Local sponsors such as U.S. Outdoor, Prana, Arcteryx, Mountain Shop, Next Adventure, MadeHere PDX, Skout Bars, Happy Mountain Kombucha came out to represent at the Pulldown and donated some amazing prizes.
With three categories, there were routes for people of all abilities to hop on. Thanks to our awesome setting team who put in long hours to get these amazing routes. Thank you community for being understanding about wall closures before the comp!
A big congratulations goes out to all of our top scorers of the night. Lisa Chulich, Bailey Speed and Victoria Siegel were our top scorers in the Women’s Open Category. Joe Gifford, Kelton Rappleyea and Adam Monkaba were our top scorers in the Men’s Open Category.

Off Duty staff including Head Setter Josh were psyched to see such a crowd. Families came and competed together, your own M.C. Mitch grinnin’ at the prize table.
Throughout the night competitors and spectators alike were enjoying food and drinks, watching their friends climb while our M.C. Mitch interviewed our sponsors who held tables as well as our head setter, Josh.
Another huge thanks to Icebreaker, NWAlpine, Cilogear, Outdoor Research,The Cookie Dept. Stumptown Coffee, Pacific Pie, Lululemon and Torrain Recycled Bags also donated some amazing prizes that were raffled off to our competitors.
Mountain Shop, Prana, MadeHer, Next Adventure, and Girl Scout all came out to keep our competitors psyched.
