COMP SCHEDULE

Friday April 19th - PG Sunnyvale + Onsight Series Finals!*
The Friction Series is our Spring Roped Climbing comp held at each of our locations with an Onsight Final to conclude the events.

CATEGORIES
Comps are open to people of all ages and categories (for both men and women)are as follows:
Recreational: up to 5.10b
Advanced: 5.10c-5.11c
Open (lead only): 5.11d and higher
Youth: all youth 15 years and under.
ONSIGHT SERIES FINALS
The top 3 scores of the entire comp will be invited to pariticpate in our Onsight Series Final at PG Sunnyvale! To be eligible to compete in the finals, competitors must also compete in the Sunnyvale Comp at 5pm. This is not based cumulative scoring, so if your score at PG Belmont beats out the top scores from PG Sunnyvale and PG San Francisco, you'll be invited! In the event a tiebreaker is needed, cumulative series scores will be considered. Witness the best climbers duke it out high above on ropes in an action packed, breath holding event! Even better - the routes will be left up after the comp so you can test your skills against the best.
First Place - $150 cash!
Second Place - $100
Third Place - $50
RAFFLE FOR PRIZES PLUS FOOD AND BEER!
A raffle will be held to auction off amazing gear by our awesome sponsors. We'll have some yummy grub, great beer and of course Tshirts! There's no other place to be on Friday night!

Friction Series at PG Sunnyvale + Onsight Series Final!
Friday, April 19th
With extra routes in the advanced category plus setting two extra onsight finals, the Setters put on a show that will be tough to top! Special thanks to all of our sponsors who donated and came out to the comp: Blue Water Ropes, La Sportiva, Petzl, Evolv, Black Diamond Equipment, Metolius Climbing, PrAna, Mammut, GoPro, The Cookie Department, Yosemite Photographer John Harrison, Yosemite Conservancy, Flux Coffee, and Red Bull! The night was a huge success and as usual, the finals competitors had us holding our breath as they competed! This is the last of our Friction Series comps for 2013, but join us in the fall for our Bloc Party! Remember - top 3 overall scores from each mens and womens will be invited to participate in our Onsight Series Final in Sunnyvale on April 19th. These are our standings currently for top 10! Friction Series at Planet Granite Belmont
Let's give a big hand to our setters for creating some of the best routes yet! These will be tough to beat, and overall members and competitors were P-S-Y-C-H-E-D to climb!
